The One World Shoppe Story
The Life is good story

Our personal and company values are a continuation of the Life is good Core Values – striving to have a positive impact on human culture by promoting optimism, and recognizing the importance of simplicity, humility, and a sense of humor.
One World Shoppe strives for a better downtown, a better community, and a better world. Our primary goal is to integrate business and community and to offer a different kind of shopping experience. Enthusiasm, creativity, offering great customer service, and realizing business expansion opportunity is the way we will be profitable
Thanks for visiting and listening,

In 1989, Bert and John Jacobs designed their first tee. They knew nothing about the tee business.
Five years the brothers traveled selling door-to-door at colleges. They were not very prosperous living on peanut butter and sleeping in their van. Where were the Chicks?
In August 1994, with $78, Bert and John considered getting real jobs. Then someone special came into their lives and he showed them the way... Jake!

Staff faces... some in different places
 |
Danny and Sheila share a vision for a company that embraces the "....isms" -- optimism, capitalism, altruism. We love our small home, our small town, and our small company, especially the staff. We also love watching all three grow. What is a silver lining and where is it? Optimism, and it really isn't that hard to find. Our new company, with its many complexities, has also allowed us to simplify. For example, we used to spend hours each day commuting in heavy traffic. Now our commute is by foot or bike and that is a silver lining. |

Debbie really keeps the machine running which means she is grounded with realism. Although not contrary to optimism, Debbie is an important balancing element to a company that is so right-brain focused. If you call the New Bern store, you will probably speak with Debbie. |
 |
Kaite was really shy about having her bio on the web site which is strange because she loves talking with customers. She is our customer service guru and if you have questions concerning an internet order/shipment, most likely, Katie will be the one to help you. If you call the Beaufort store, you will probably speak with Kaite. Make sure you congratulate her, she recently got married. Nice witches hat! |

Tiffany could be the most popular high school student in HS history; however, popularity isn't the key to livin' the good life. Enjoying teenage shenanigans and spending time with friends is the secret. Tiffany has been working with the company longer than any other staff. She actually applied at age 15. She will be moving on soon. She graduates this year. |
 |
Sara will someday be a famous Hollywood personality. She is directing her high school play and we can't wait for opening night. She acts, dances, sings -- she is our company talent and fits in perfectly with a right-brained company.
Frank is our school teacher and only has one responsibility with the company... getting the Dutch bike decorated for town parades. |
 |
Katie #2 is also a school teacher but she also does a good job at surf board restoration. She is one of those rare individuals that is equally strong both right-brained and left-brained. We look forward to summers because that is when Katie spends the most time with us. |
