In 1989, Bert and John Jacobs designed their first tee.  They knew nothing about the tee business.

Five years the brothers traveled selling door-to-door at colleges.  They were not very prosperous living on peanut butter and sleeping in their van.  Where were the Chicks?

In August 1994, with $78, Bert and John considered getting real jobs.  Then someone special came into their lives and he showed them the way... Jake!
